Roland Lohnert  first visited the United States in 1958 and thoroughly enjoyed his stay. So in the summer of ’59 he returned to the U.S. as a representative for Porsche Diesel tractors on the east coast. In February 1960 he was asked to help at New England Agriculture Equipment Expo in downtown Boston, MA. His job was to help move a new Super L308 up to the third floor ballroom of a hotel. A crane set  the rear wheels on the fire escape and Roland backed the tractor in to the hotel. A week later, the removal procedure was the reverse of the entry and even scarier.
